Outdoor pools and lakes near Grödig
Waldbad Anif Want to take a jump into some cool water, but not sure where? Well, you can take your pick from among several outdoor pools and lakes around Grödig and the Untersberg. Along the Alpinstrasse road to Salzburg is an excellent swimming complex with several pools, and just across the border in Marktschellenberg you’ll find another outdoor pool. Swimming outdoors in unspoiled nature is especially wonderful, and the natural lake in Anif with its emerald green water and beautiful meadow for sunbathing is particularly inviting. The lake’s park also features beach volleyball and a small café.

Just a few yards further and you’ll find the cold Königsseeache river, an ideal place to jump in and cool off on a hot summer day. If you want to spend a wonderful summer day at the lake, then head out to the nearby Salzkammergut Lake district. The Fuschlsee, Mondsee, Wolgangsee or Attersee lakes are ideal oases with secluded spots and wide meadows, all perfect for the whole family.
